New information was given to us today from the university regarding the cafeteria.
1. No walk-in cafeteria meals may be purchased at all!
Because of the low response from our group for the pre-paid cafeteria meals, the food services staff needs to prepare for what we have purchased and cannot plan for additional walk-in purchases.
But, they will allow us to add pre-paid cafeteria meals NOW.
So…….we are opening up the food portion of the registration site so you can add meals to your order. The deadline to add and pay for these meals is Thursday, May 26 at noon, PST.
Navigate to the NITOC tournament website: https://nitoc2011.homeschooldebate.net
and click on “Student Registration” to log into your registration. Once you log in with the parent’s name(s) and password click on the “Miscellaneous” link to the left to add meals to your registration.
You may NOT delete any of the meals you have ordered, and no refunds will be issued, so please do not ask. ☺
2. There are no cafeteria meals available on Monday evening.
The people who ordered those meals will be receiving a separate email with details about the new plan.
3. You may also add box lunches and box dinners to your registration.
The deadline to order and pay is this Thursday, May 26 at noon, PST.
4. You may still order and pay for the Saturday BBQ dinner tickets.
This will be a fun and relaxing way to have dinner with all your new and old friends before the awards ceremony. Both the BBQ dinner and the awards ceremony are on the PLNU campus.
The deadline to add the BBQ dinner to your registration is Thursday, May 26 at noon, PST.
5. You may NOT add t-shirts or dorms to your registration.

We have made a wide variety of pre-ordered meals available to you at the tournament. These pre-ordered meals need to be purchased on the registration page. You may return to your registration page at any time before the close of registration to order meals.
• Pre-ordered box lunches and dinners
• Pre-ordered buffet Cafeteria meals (slightly discounted when pre-ordered)
We strongly recommend that you consider ordering box lunches and dinners for your competitors so that they have a chance to eat. The lines at the cafeteria and the sandwich shop may be long and prevent your competitors from having a chance to eat their meals.
There are not fast-food restaurants near the PLNU campus.
Pre-ordered Cafeteria buffet meals (all you can eat)
These pre-ordered Cafeteria buffet meals are offered at a discount from the price at point of service.
Breakfast: $6.25
Lunch: $7.50
Dinner: $9.00
Cafeteria buffet meals (all you can eat) can also be purchased at point-of-service (with cash).
Lunch: $8.50
Dinner: $10.90
The Judges' Lounge will have snacks available only for judges with ballots. The Hospitality Team cannot provide meals for the parents at NITOC, nor is it appropriate for them to try to do so. Please make sure to plan your meal purchases accordingly.
