Dorms

Dorm rooms will be available at PLNU.

Cost: $120 per person for 6 nights
The Stoa Board of Directors was able to negotiate a bulk purchase from PLNU for 500 beds and is offering them at $120 per bed for the 6 nights! This includes the costs and a markup to cover contingencies and insurance. We hope this serves you well and can make the tournament more affordable for many of you.

Additional Costs: $20 per person for linens and towels. These are not included in the $120 price for the week. You may bring your own linens and towels.

Check In: After 3 PM on Monday, May 30

Check Out: Before 10 AM Sunday, June 5

Types of rooms:
--FLEX HOUSING IS FULL--FLEX HOUSING IS FULL--FLEX HOUSING IS FULL--
Flex Housing Family Units: A very limited number (15) of family units are available.
Each unit has 5 beds and all 5 beds must be purchased for the week at a total cost of $600.
Flex housing units have refrigerators and stoves, but no pots, pans, dishes or utensils.

Dorm Rooms: Gender separated rooms and bathrooms. Some by module and some by floor.

Dorm rooms on the campus are $120 per bed for six nights. They do not have bedding, refrigerators or microwaves. You may bring your own bedding and towels, or pay $20 for the campus linens and towels. You may also bring a mini refrigerator and microwave, or anything else you may need. The dorms are gender segregated amongst unrelated families. A mixed-gender family CAN stay together in the dorms and mothers/fathers travelling with same-gender children (i.e. two mothers with their sons) may stay together. We are simply keeping any children that are unrelated and of opposite genders separated, and any mothers/fathers of different families separated.

Plan to have roommates and build friendships!

You can email requests to the housing coordinator, Sandra Ford (fordy9erfan16@msn.com) with your specific family configuration to see if she can place as many of you together as possible. Different dorm rooms accommodate different numbers of individuals.

Children 9 years old and younger (of the same gender as the parent) may sleep on the floor in the same room with their parent. You MUST let Sandra Ford (fordy9erfan16@msn.com) know if you are planning to have young children stay with you in your room because this could impact your potential roommates.

Linens and towels can be requested for $20 per person for the younger siblings, as well.

Availability: Requests for dorm lodging and payment can be made when tournament registration opens.

Priority: Rooms will be assigned based on receipt of paid registration. This obviously gives priority to those paying via PayPal. There is no way to wait for the pending arrival of checks in order to assign rooms. The complexity of this process necessitates the assigning of rooms immediately upon payment. Those paying by check will be assigned rooms when the checks are received.

Campus Curfew: PLNU requires on-campus residents to be in their rooms by 10 PM in accordance with local noise ordinances.

Meals: Not included*

Campus Meals: Purchased on site - all you can eat
Breakfast $6.25
Lunch $8.50
Dinner $10.90
Tournament meal options will also be available, including pre-purchased Cafeteria meals at a small discount and pre-purchased box meals. These are purchased during registration. There is a small grocery store (Fresh and Easy Market) across the street from PLNU. The market is open from 7am to 10pm and is about a 10 - 15 minute walk from the dorms.
